Starting therapy as a mom can feel like one more thing on an already full plate—but for many women, it becomes one of the most supportive decisions they make.

At Haven Mental Health Solutions, we work with moms across Michigan who are navigating anxiety, overwhelm, and the mental load of caring for everyone else while trying to hold themselves together.

Anxiety in motherhood doesn’t always look obvious. It can show up as:

  • Constant worry about your kids

  • Feeling overstimulated or irritable

  • Trouble sleeping even when you’re exhausted

  • Feeling like you’re never “doing enough”

Many of the moms we work with reach out after a breaking point—maybe a moment where the stress spills over into tears, or a realization that something needs to change.

Starting therapy is simpler than it sounds:

  1. Reach out to schedule an appointment or consultation

  2. Get matched with a therapist who fits your needs

  3. Attend your sessions virtually from home

Our therapists, including Danielle Anderson, LLMSW, specialize in supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into motherhood. Therapy is not about fixing you—it’s about giving you space to process, understand your emotions, and feel supported in a way you might not be getting elsewhere.

We provide virtual therapy across Michigan and accept several major insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care Network, Cigna and Priority Health.

If you’ve been holding a lot on your own, you don’t have to keep doing that.
