My Story
I didn't become a therapist because I had all the answers. I became a therapist because I've always been curious about people. I've always wanted to understand why people do what they do, why certain experiences stay with us, why some patterns repeat themselves, and why we can know exactly what we should do and still find ourselves stuck.
For over a decade, I've had the privilege of sitting with women through some of the hardest, most complicated seasons of their lives. Anxiety. Depression. Relationship struggles. Parenting. Burnout. Grief. Life transitions. The quiet feeling that you've spent so much time taking care of everyone else that you've lost touch with yourself.
What I've learned is this:
People make sense.
Even the parts of yourself that frustrate you.
The overthinking. The people-pleasing. The self-doubt. The anxiety. The patterns you swore you'd never repeat.
None of it happens in a vacuum.
My approach to therapy is insight-oriented, relational, and deeply curious. Together, we'll look beyond symptoms and explore the experiences, relationships, beliefs, and stories that have shaped how you move through the world.
I believe lasting change comes from understanding yourself more fully—not from trying harder, being more productive, or finding the perfect coping skill. That doesn't mean we ignore the present. We'll absolutely talk about what's happening in your life right now. But we'll also be paying attention to the bigger picture: the patterns that keep showing up, the roles you've learned to play, and the deeper reasons certain struggles continue to follow you.
The name Haven is deeply personal to me. Haven was my mother's name. Growing up, I learned early how much people can carry, especially women. I witnessed the complexity of love, responsibility, resilience, and emotional burden long before I became a therapist. Those experiences shaped the way I understand people today—with compassion, curiosity, and a recognition that most of us are carrying far more than others realize. Naming this practice Haven is my way of honoring her and the impact she had on my life.
I created Haven Mental Health Solutions because I wanted to build something aligned with my values: honesty, self-respect, meaningful relationships, and the belief that caring for others should never require abandoning yourself.
Today, I work exclusively with adult women navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, burnout, self-esteem concerns, and the complicated realities of being human.
You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy.
You don't need the perfect explanation for why you're struggling.
You just need a place to start.
We'll make sense of it together.
